Assistant Accounting ManagerA well-established organization is seeking an Assistant Accounting Manager to support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, and general accounting activities across multiple entities. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a hands-on role and is looking to take the next step in their career while working closely with senior leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform monthly bank reconciliations and intercompany account reconciliations for multiple entitiesSupport the monthly close process, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and adjusting entriesPrepare consolidated monthly financial statements, management reports, and weekly financial scorecardsManage and support Accounts Receivable activities, including customer inquiries and account resolutionOversee Accounts Payable processes and monthly credit card coding and reconciliationsAssist with cost analysis and financial reporting related to manufacturing operationsSupport year-end close activities and coordinate information and documentation with external CPA partnersAssist with preparation of annual tax return documentation and required state/local tax reportingProcess and monitor banking transactions, including wires and other financial activityMaintain accurate intercompany records and ensure timely resolution of discrepanciesCommunicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholdersMaintain strict confidentiality of financial and business informationRepresent the organization with professionalism and integrity at all timesQualifications3–5 years of progressive accounting experienceAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferredHands-on month-end close experience requiredManufacturing and/or capital equipment industry experience preferredExperience with ERP/accounting systems; SAP Business One experience is a plusStrong Excel and Microsoft Office skillsExcellent organizational and time-management abilities with the capacity to prioritize multiple deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProfessional, dependable, and detail-oriented approach
