Production SupervisorAmeristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading hourly manufacturing employees in a fast-paced production environment to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives. This role provides direct supervision, coaching, and development of production team members while ensuring compliance with company policies, quality standards, and environmental requirements. The Production Supervisor drives continuous improvement initiatives, promotes a culture of accountability, and supports Ameristar's commitment to manufacturing excellence and customer satisfaction.What You Will Be DoingSafety LeadershipPromote and maintain a safe work environment through active engagement and visible leadership.Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and safe work practices.Conduct safety meetings, audits, observations, and corrective actions.Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventive measures.Production ManagementSupervise daily manufacturing operations to meet production schedules and customer requirements.Monitor labor utilization, machine performance, and production efficiency.Coordinate staffing and work assignments to maximize productivity.Ensure production targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) are achieved.Quality AssuranceEnsure products meet established quality standards and customer specifications.Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality concerns.Monitor scrap, rework, and first-pass yield metrics.Support quality audits and continuous improvement activities.Employee Leadership & DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop production employees to achieve operational goals.Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.Address employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner.Support training, cross-training, and succession planning initiatives.Continuous ImprovementLead Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement activities.Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.Participate in Kaizen events and process improvement projects.Utilize data and performance metrics to drive operational decisions.Communication & CoordinationCollaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Human Resources departments.Participate in production planning and shift turnover meetings.Communicate expectations, priorities, and performance results to team members.Escalate operational issues and resource constraints as needed.The Skills and Experience You NeedRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.3-5 years of manufacturing leadership experience.Experience supervising hourly production employees in a manufacturing environment.Knowledge of safety regulations, quality systems, and production processes.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing systems.Ability to work flexible schedules as required.Preferred QualificationsExperience in metal fabrication, welding, coating, roll forming, or automated manufacturing operations.Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.Experience with ERP systems and production metrics reporting.Bilingual communication skills are a plus.Key CompetenciesSafety LeadershipTeam Building & Employee DevelopmentAccountabilityContinuous Improvement MindsetProblem SolvingCommunication SkillsResults OrientationPlanning & OrganizationData-Driven Decision MakingChange ManagementPerformance MetricsSafety Incident RateProduction ThroughputSchedule AttainmentLabor EfficiencyScrap and Rework ReductionQuality PerformanceEmployee Engagement and RetentionContinuous Improvement ResultsAttendance and Workforce ManagementPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk throughout manufacturing facilities for extended periods.Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, moving equipment, and varying environmental conditions.Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).This role is located in Tulsa, OK.Questions about this role?
