Maintain a safe workplace environment, ensure compliance with applicable laws and attract and retain qualified team members. It is the Branch Manager’s objective to meet or exceed the annual EBIT, sales budget and inventory goals while fulfilling the customers’ expectations for supply of product and service. Key Responsibilities Hire and supervise employees who meet all critical requirements and qualifications for each position (counter sales, warehouse, delivery drivers and others as approved). Review work throughout the process and at completion to ensure it has been performed effectively. Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staffing levels and respond to fluctuating workloads. Communicate with employees on a regular basis to ensure procedures are followed, new procedures are considered, and approved methods are carried out on a timely basis. Appraise and document employee performance at regular intervals as required by company procedures, ensuring a plan for improving performance and potential. Meet with each employee at least once a year (on their anniversary date) to formally review performance and discuss future objectives and goals. Recommend pay increases based on performance, subject to approval from the Area Manager and Operations Manager. Enforce company policies and procedures and abide by them. Provide counsel to employees regarding work‑related activities, personal growth and career development. Prepare reports for the Area Manager and the Operations Manager. Report work‑related injuries of employees to the third‑party administrator, Zurich. Work the parts counter weekly to ensure proper procedures are followed and maintain familiarity with the processes. Ensure all walk‑in customers are greeted immediately and an associate offers assistance within 2 minutes. Maintain 100% accuracy on all order fulfilments. Post all inventory receipts daily. Invoice all sales daily. Deposit all cash receipts in accordance with accounting instructions. Process all vendor invoices in accordance with accounting instructions. Approve expenses within budget limits. Lead sales meetings at least monthly. Review territory EBIT and sales revenue to plan for new sales opportunities and share best practices. Maintain a top‑25 customer list. Update and visit at least three customers each month for potential new business opportunities. Lead the development of product pricing strategy for each account on an annual basis. Suggest additions or deletions to inventory and update catalogues quarterly. Review inventory reports weekly; take corrective action on negative quantities; follow up or cancel open invoices and POs. Review the branch accounts‑receivable aging weekly and coordinate collections with the credit department. Establish preventive maintenance plans for equipment such as delivery trucks and forklifts, including daily inspections. Ensure annual physical inventory variances do not exceed 2% of the total inventory value. Maintain branch appearance by daily cleaning of the entire facility, restocking display areas, and maintaining restrooms. Ensure the telephone is answered by the third ring and all associates answer in a uniform manner. Physical Demands Handling of normal stock will include lifting or carrying parts in excess of 60 lbs. up to 15% of the time. Majority of lifting and carrying will involve parts between 5 and 60 lbs. OSHA‑approved steel‑toed safety shoes are required from the first day of employment. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma (or GED or high‑school equivalence certificate). Associate’s Degree in Business Administration preferred. Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the heavy‑duty truck parts industry, including at least 3 years in a supervisory position. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Pay range: $35,568.00 – $90,500.00 yearly, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
