Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Columbus, OH
Pay Rate: $70/hour 
Weekly: $2530/hr. for 36 hr + OT
Contract Length: 13–16 Weeks
Shift: Day/Night Rotating or Night Shift Available Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience to join a travel assignment within a secure corrections facility in Columbus, OH. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to incarcerated patients requiring close monitoring, specialized medical management, and progressive care services.

The ideal candidate will be confident in managing complex patient conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams while maintaining compliance with all facility safety and security protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring of patient conditions.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments accurately and safely.
• Monitor and interpret patient responses to interventions and report changes in condition.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond effectively to medical emergencies and critical patient situations.
• Ensure adherence to correctional facility policies, procedures, and security requirements.
• Promote patient safety, quality care, and positive health outcomes.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• Current NIHSS certification.
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
• Previous experience in high-acuity, critical care, or correctional healthcare settings preferred.
