Commercial Loan OfficerResponsible for developing and retaining commercial relationships. Assist in growth and management of commercial loan portfolio consistent with regulatory compliance and bank policy. Coordinates commercial lending activities with other lenders and branch managers to maximize lending and new business opportunities. Promote the bank's commercial lending services and products. The Commercial Loan Officer originates and manages portfolio of commercial loans. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Duties/Responsibilities:Generate new business by developing relationships with prospective commercial customers within the target market.Meet with applicants to obtain information; compile and analyze data for loan requests; submit applications to credit analysts for preparation of financial analysis and approval recommendations.Recommend products and services to potential borrowers and handle inquiries from applicants including explanation of the loan requirements and process.Screen loan requests based on bank policies and procedures and on types of loans offered.Prepare loan proposals by gathering pertinent due diligence material to support loan recommendations as presented to Loan Committee.Confer and work closely with credit analysts to expeditiously decision loan requests.Present loan recommendations to appropriate loan committees.Build in-depth knowledge of each assigned loan relationship understanding strengths and weaknesses of borrower and risk to bank.Inform borrowers of loan commitments and advise and explain loan terms and conditions; ensure timely receipt of loan payments; and assist in obtaining proper documentation to secure and substantiate loan.Maintain an assigned portfolio of borrowing relationships ensuring timely remittance of loan payments, in adherence to quality and risk standards determined by the bank.Build customer relationships by cross selling bank products and services.Maintain technical and professional knowledge by attending educational workshops and training, obtaining relevant professional certifications, reviewing professional publications and books, establishing personal networks, participating in professional associations, and staying informed of any legal, policy and procedural changes relating to construction and commercial real estate lending.Keep informed of industry changes, trends, and best practices, and assess the potential impact on processes and procedures.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesActs as resource by demonstrating extensive knowledge and enthusiasm about banking solutions and management objective.Supports team customers development by focusing on their innate talents and developing those into areas of strengths.Listens to and advocates for team customers to ensure their engagement needs are met.Supports team customer performance by establishing annual goals, setting clear expectations, and providing continual coaching.Creates a culture of accountability that celebrates progress as often as outcomes.Builds relationships that create trust and allow two-way dialogue.RequirementsRequired Skills/Abilities:Ability to exhibit our core values;
