Job Summary Responsible for inspecting and licensing developmental disability programs, conducting investigations, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and maintaining records. Responsibilities Work with team members or lead within the ODDS Licensing Unit. Conduct on‑site reviews of adult and child foster homes, 24‑hour residential facilities, and other services to monitor compliance. Respond to and investigate complaints from local offices, consumers, families, or citizens. Write inspection reports and maintain records in the ASPEN database. Determine when plans of improvement must be developed and submitted by providers. Qualifications Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Three (3) years of experience in nursing, social work, counseling, occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, developmental disabilities, dietetics/nutrition, or sanitation. Bachelor’s degree in a health or human services field. Or registered nurse license (LPN not acceptable). Essential Attributes Attention to detail in following verbal and written directions. Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and applying federal and state laws, rules, and regulations. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including technical writing. Cross‑cultural communication ability and adaptability. Experience with regulatory compliance, licensing, and investigations. Independent work ability and effective teamwork.
