Domain Specific Skills:

• Experience with rear body design, architecture, packaging, and studio integration.
• Ability to define interfaces between closures, cladding, axle, thermal, and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of design improvements driven by field lessons learned and maintenance requirements.
• Ability to align engineering solutions with design studio and vehicle integration teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define component and system engineering requirements.
• Create and develop engineering designs and concepts.
• Perform packaging, tolerance, and feasibility studies.
• Develop CAD models, drawings, and engineering releases.
• Support CAE, prototype builds, testing, Sourcing and validation activities.
• Resolve design, manufacturing, quality, and launch issues.
• Collaborate with Internal cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Manage engineering changes and documentation.
• Proven background in concept-to-production vehicle development and problem-solving

Required Skills/Experience:

• 5y+ years of automotive/commercial vehicle engineering experience within relevant domain.
• 3y+ CAD Surfacing experience (CATIA 3Dx, 3D Experience or V5).
• GD&T and tolerance analysis
• DFMA & Serviceability principles.
• Problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
