Senior Manager – Transmission Planning UtilitiesWe are designing the grid of the future! Candidates who are high performers, organized, agile, and adaptable will be successful in this role.ResponsibilitiesManagement and Operations:Provide expert level understanding of the ERCOT system to both EPE and ERCOT team membersSupport transmission engineering managers and individual contributors for planning, studies, modeling, and automation etc.Take responsibility for the team's timely completion of a portfolio of projects while meeting project quality and budget objectivesProvide guidance, knowledge, and experience to electrical engineers performing power system steady state, short circuit, dynamic stability, and electromagnetic transient studiesDevelop team resource utilization and revenue forecasting to keep the team on track to meet billable hour and revenue targets and ensure effective hiring/resource managementPromote process improvement efforts to enhance efficiencyMaintain EPE's high client satisfactionBusiness Development Support:Support responses to RFPs and development of Scopes of WorkParticipate and coordinate industry involvement through conferences, speaking opportunities, and engagementsBuild and manage key customer relationshipsQualificationsBring your passion, here's what's needed:Exceptional understanding of project execution, team, and time management in a consulting environment with proven successStrong people skills, with ability to draw confidence, ensure technical accuracy, and maintain client satisfactionIndependent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skillsHighly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to keep multiple projects and client engagements active at onceComfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate uncertaintyProven team player skills with ability to build and maintain internal and external relationshipsStrong written and verbal communication skills, excellent business, and technical writingAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong time management skillsRequired Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering7+ years of experience in power systems engineering rolesExperience or familiarity with PSS/E, TARA, DSATools, Aspen, and other transmission analysis toolsLead the change!
