Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Emergency Department setting with a 3:1 patient ratio
• Administer and titrate critical care and emergency medicine drips including cardiac drips, insulin, and heparin
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings for emergency department patients
• Assess, triage, and manage a diverse emergency patient population
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Adhere to unit dress code requirements (grey solid scrubs)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of current Emergency Department / Emergency Room experience
• Active Iowa RN license or active Compact/Multistate RN license at time of submission
• Drip/titration experience required: cardiac drips, insulin, heparin, and all critical care/emergency medicine drips
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation experience required
• Active AHA or ARC BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
• Active AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Competency) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required (may be obtained during onboarding)
• Valid Driver's License required
• Emergency Room-specific skills checklist required at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system
