Emergency Department RN (Part-Time, Night Shift)

Role Overview: Provides comprehensive nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient responses to health issues, collaborating with the healthcare team. Key Responsibilities: Assessment: Performs multi-system assessments, identifies deviations, and conducts discharge evaluations. Planning: Develops individualized care and teaching plans, coordinates care and discharge with relevant departments, and delegates tasks appropriately. Implementation: Initiates protocol-based measures, administers medications accurately, documents care in EMR, and performs procedures correctly, including emergency interventions. Evaluation: Monitors patient responses, reviews assessment methods, and participates in quality assurance activities. Qualifications & Skills: Minimum of 9 months RN experience, with at least 1 year in emergency care or completion of a related internship program. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Licenses and certifications including RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and Pediatric Life Support within specified timeframes. Computer skills and additional emergency nursing certifications preferred. Preferred Attributes: Previous healthcare experience and a bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
