Essential Duties And Responsibilities Support the Cage Manager at the Casino’s Cage, Countroom, and Card Control Departments. Support the Cage Manager with formulating and implementing the Cage’s policies and procedures on proper handling of cash, chips and negotiable instruments. Interact with Accounting on the audit of the Cage, Countroom and Card Control Departments. Support Cage Manager with ordering Gaming Chips when requested and Card Control Decks when needed. Participate in training and development of staff skills, utilizing coaching and mentoring. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times. Adhere to all Gaming Laws and Guidelines. Performs all other work‑related duties as assigned by the Controller and VP and General Manager. Qualification Requirements Minimum of 5 years of effective and successful management experience in a casino and/or card room. Must have good project management skills; provide strong leadership and direction, prioritize project tasks, meet project deadlines, and effectively communicate with personnel, co‑workers, and subordinates. Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, in a diverse range of audiences and settings. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and the ability to adapt to additional internal applications. Must be flexible and available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must maintain confidentiality. Must be able to make change using American Monetary units. Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations. Education / Formal Training A high school diploma or a General Education Degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Reasoning Ability Ability to determine and shift priorities quickly. Ability to examine issues both strategically and tactically. Ability to carry out detailed tasks and projects with minimal direction or supervision. Ability to problem‑solve complex situations in an effective and efficient manner. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Language Skills Ability to read, write, and speak in English. Ability to speak a second language is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships. Ability to express complex concepts in a clear manner. Ability to express ideas clearly and succinctly in letters, memos and reports. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Ability to obtain and maintain a Gardena Police Department Work Permit. Must be able to obtain & maintain a State of California Key Employee License. Physical Demands Visual acuity (8‑10 hours viewing computer). Work in an enclosed and busy area. Must have the ability to safely lift a minimum of 12 pounds. Must be able to concentrate in an intense, fast‑paced environment with numerous distractions. Work Environment Adult content environment. Must be at least 21 years of age. 24‑hour operation with a very fast‑paced environment. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
