1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

\n

The Manager, Inspection will lead team of intermediate to experienced Quality Inspection professionals, setting objectives and guiding others on the execution of inspection tasks to ensure adherence to established department, organization, and customer specification parameters. Leads the development of inspection plans and manages the maintenance of inspection logs and the preparation of inspection reports, technical reports and presentations.

\n   What you’ll do on a typical day:  

\n

\n •    Directs activities and manages experienced Quality Inspection professionals in the execution of inspection tasks to ensure adherence to established department, organization and customer specification parameters.
\n •    Leads the development of inspection plans and manages inspector workloads to ensure effective use of resources.
\n •    Manages the maintenance of inspection logs and the preparation of inspection reports, technical reports and presentations to document results so that performance problems can be identified and resolved.
\n •    Determines the appropriate methods and sequences to perform inspections to ensure that the process is efficient and effective.
\n •    Delivers feedback on quality issues from inspection fields and monitors corrective action and results to ensure continuous improvement and quality achievement.
\n •    Coaches’ inspection specialists and technicians to ensure that the skills and performance of employees meet the organization's needs.
\n •    Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect arriving, in-process and completed products for conformance to engineering requirements.
\n •    Uses a variety of measuring devices, testing equipment's, and statistical control processes.
\n •    Performs in-process, final bench, and product feature inspections.
\n •    Inspects actual products on the floor and on-line.
\n •    Performs First Article Inspections (FIA) and conformity inspections.
\n •    Raises notifications of non-conformance, quarantines non-conforming product and, when approved to do so, provides disposition.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

\n

\n At a minimum, you’ll need:
\n •    Advance degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR 9 years of relevant experience is required.
\n •    Work to AS / ISO standards
\n •    Manage the maintenance of equipment including calibration, inspection, cleaning, repairing, software/hardware updates, vendor engagement, etc.
\n •    Identify and recommend creative ways to enhance existing test practices.
\n •    To meet government and federal law program requirements which requires U.S. citizen status

\n

\n It’d be great if you also have:
\n •    Prior Supervisory experience preferred.
\n •    FAA, QMS-Audit (AS9100), PPAP experience preferred.
\n •    Customer facing experience preferred.
\n •    Experience with SAP preferred.
