Perinatal associates and testing center is seeking a Perinatal Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to support maternal care with clinical excellence in Odessa, TX.

Position Summary

The Perinatal Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant provides high-quality, patient-centered care for pregnant patients across the perinatal continuum. You will collaborate with obstetric, pediatric, nursing, and care coordination teams to assess, diagnose, manage, and monitor patient needs while maintaining safe, evidence-based practice.

In this role, you will help ensure continuity of care through timely evaluations, clear documentation, and effective communication with patients and interdisciplinary team members. Your clinical judgment and professionalism will directly contribute to improved outcomes and an exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments for perinatal patients, including history taking, physical exams, and clinical monitoring both inpatient and outpatient.

• Provide diagnosis and management of routine and urgent perinatal needs in coordination with the maternal fetal medicine specialist.

• Order, interpret, and act on relevant diagnostic testing and ensure appropriate follow-up plans.

• Deliver patient and family education on prenatal and perinatal including warning signs and care instructions.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support safe handoffs, referrals, and care coordination.

Required Qualifications

• Current licensure/credentials to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

• Experience in perinatal, obstetric, maternal care is preferred (but can train the right candidate)

• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to make sound decisions in time-sensitive situations.

• Commitment to patient safety, evidence-based practice, and professional clinical communication.

• Ability to work effectively onsite and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Training or demonstrated experience specifically in perinatal care, high-risk pregnancy support.

• Experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary setting and supporting care plans across pregnancy stages

• Strong documentation practices and comfort managing complex clinical workflows.

• Demonstrated compassion and cultural competence when supporting patients and families during pregnancy and the newborn period.
