Student Radiology Technologist

Overview We are seekinga Student Radiology Technologist, internally referred to as ourX-ray Tech Student.Student Rad Techs willassistlicensed technologists in performing diagnostic imaging proceduresby positioning patients, operating equipmentsuchasX-ray, and ensuring radiation safety. They help process and evaluate images using PACS whilemaintainingaccuratemedical documentation. Additionally, they provide patient care, collaborate with healthcare teams, and gain hands-on clinical experience to develop their technical skills for a future career in radiologic technology.This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRNas needed. Shift’s Available: Variable Employment Type: Per Diem (PD/PRN) Hours: Variable Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center – Mesquite, TX Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare: Competitive compensation Medical insurance benefit plan 401K Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Patient Positioning & Preparation: Properly position patients for X-rays and ensure their comfort and safety Performing Imaging Procedures: assistin capturing high-quality diagnostic images under supervision using either X-rayequipment Radiation Safety: follow As LowAsReasonably Achievable (ALARA) principles to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff Equipment Operation & Maintenance: learn to use andmaintainradiographic machines and digital imaging systems, such as X-ray machines Image Processing & Evaluation: assistin processing and reviewing images using PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) Collaboration with Healthcare Teams: work alongside radiologists, nurses, and other medical staff to provide quality diagnostic imaging Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: 1. High school diploma or equivalent required. 2. Currently attending an accredited health care educational program for radiologic technology. 3. Meet state requirements for exemption from licensing to operate x-ray equipment. Documentation of state exemption required in personnel file. 4. Completion of their first-year curriculum requirements, 5. Current BCLS (AHA). 6. At least one year of clinical experience in the radiology technologist program required 7.
