Work Environment

This role requires the Family Nurse Practitioner to provide care every other weekend, with two designated days off during the week, fostering a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for a range of essential tasks aimed at enhancing patient outcomes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough health histories (H&Ps) and comprehensive clinical examinations for new admissions to ensure a complete understanding of patient needs.
• Ordering diagnostic tests, prescribed medications, and treatment regimens based on clinical assessments, ensuring that patients receive appropriate care promptly.
• Monitoring and overseeing the medical stabilization of patients, coordinating necessary transfers or escalated care when needed, to maintain optimal health outcomes.
• Providing education and counseling to patients and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care and adopt healthier lifestyles.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Family Nurse Practitioner role must meet the following qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Current ANCC Board Certification in a primary care discipline such as Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP).
• Valid licensure as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in Georgia or an equivalent state.
• Demonstrated competence in both outpatient and inpatient settings, enabling effective care across various healthcare environments.
• Current BLS/CPR certification prior to employment; training can be arranged if necessary.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preferred qualifications include previous experience in a hospital setting, particularly those who have worked with a diverse patient population or within eating disorder treatment facilities. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and patient management tools will enhance efficiency and patient care delivery.

Compensation and Benefits
