Make a difference in the lives of young learners by providing specialized instruction and support in a vibrant elementary setting for the 2026-2027 school year. In this full-time contract position, you’ll work with 3rd-5th grade students, focusing on those with significant cognitive, developmental, and/or behavioral disabilities. Both push-in and pull-out service models are utilized, and you’ll collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure each student’s success.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Michigan teaching certification with a special education endorsement
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Successful completion of background check and drug screening
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
• Experience adapting curriculum and providing modifications for diverse learning needs is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction based on IEP goals for students in grades 3-5
• Implement both push-in and pull-out teaching strategies to maximize student engagement and growth
• Write, update, and monitor Individualized Education Plans in collaboration with families and colleagues
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
• Collect data and monitor progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
• Provide consultative support to general education teachers to promote accessibility and accommodations
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development opportunities
