Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience in elementary school environments, K-6th grade
• Familiarity with Montessori education, or a strong interest in learning Montessori principles
• Proven ability to adapt instruction, develop IEPs, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Compassionate, patient, and creative approach to education

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction tailored to student needs in the resource room
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff
• Engage families in the learning process, providing updates and strategies for support at home
• Foster an encouraging, inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and self-confidence
• Track and document student progress, maintaining clear records

Enjoy a structured schedule with school hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, working 37.5 hours weekly under a W2 hourly contract.
