Take this exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Resource Teacher specializing in ELA and Math for middle school students. This contract position offers a chance to deliver vital instruction and support to learners in a collaborative, well-resourced environment near Warren, MI. Starting ASAP and continuing through June 11, 2027, you’ll work 36.25 hours per week (8:05 AM–3:05 PM, with an additional 15 minutes of duty before or after each school day).

Key Requirements:

• Valid Michigan Special Education Teacher endorsement required
• ELA and Math credentials (middle school level)
• Demonstrated knowledge of IDEA, MARSE guidelines, and IEP compliance
• Experience managing IEPs, behavior plans, accommodations, and evaluations
• Strong ability to provide specialized ELA/Math instruction, interventions, and progress monitoring
• Organized, detail-oriented, and effective communicator
• Previous experience working with middle school learners in resource or inclusion settings preferred

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver small-group and individualized resource support in ELA and Math
• Implement targeted interventions and monitor student progress
• Develop, update, and manage IEPs, accommodations, and behavior plans for assigned caseload
• Collaborate with general education staff and families to ensure student success
• Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal special education laws
• Foster a supportive, inclusive learning atmosphere
