Desired Qualifications:

• Hold an active Michigan teaching license with a valid Special Education endorsement.
• Middle school teaching experience in self-contained or resource settings is highly valued.
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to create differentiated lessons tailored to diverse student needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to middle school students in a resource room, adapting lessons to accommodate varying learning styles.
• Develop, monitor, and document individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure students’ progress.
• Foster a supportive, engaging classroom environment conducive to student learning and independence.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings, staff trainings, and professional development as required.
