About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience preferred License: State license required; pending licenses accepted Certifications: BLS preferred, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: Clinical review and auto-offer for a 17-bed unit. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 during the day shift. The unit receives patients from various sources, including emergency departments and medical ICUs. Patients present with a wide range of medical diagnoses, including diabetes, COPD exacerbations, and ESRD. Team members are integral participants in interdisciplinary rounding to discuss care plans. Staffing includes support from various healthcare disciplines, including therapy and pharmacy services. Nurses are expected to manage medical treatments and medications effectively. Professional development and education are prioritized, fostering a supportive work environment. Quality of care is tracked through process improvements and adherence to best practices. The unit strives to deliver competent care while valuing the diversity and dignity of all individuals. Ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for all team members is essential.
