Ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners? Opportunity available for a contract Speech-Language Pathologist to provide dedicated, on-site support for students in grades 2–4. This full-time role offers the chance to collaborate with educators and families to help children reach their communication goals within a positive, engaging school setting near Kenner, LA.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility) for Speech-Language Pathology in Louisiana
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, CFY candidates considered
  • Experience working with school-aged children, particularly in grades 2–4, is highly valued
  • Familiarity with school-based IEP processes and documentation
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, diagnosis, and deliver speech and language therapy for children in grades 2–4
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs
  • Track and document student progress, providing regular updates to faculty and parents
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ academic and social successes
  • Participate in team meetings, contribute to multidisciplinary approaches, and incorporate evidence-based strategies in sessions
  • Foster a nurturing, supportive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
