Job Description:
Love dogs and enjoy active, hands-on work? Pet Care Plus is hiring seasonal, part-time Dog Handlers to help keep our daycare and boarding guests Safe, Happy, and Healthy during the busy holiday season.
What you’ll do:
- Walk dogs and provide ball toss, cuddle time, enrichment activities such as bubbles, and individual attention.
- Help supervise dog playgroups after completing required training.
- Prepare meals, refresh water, and follow each dog’s care instructions.
- Monitor dogs’ health and behavior and report concerns promptly.
- Clean pet accommodations and play areas, remove pet waste, and complete laundry.
- Record pet-care updates and work closely with your team.
What we’re looking for:
- A caring, dependable teammate who follows instructions and pays attention to detail.
- Pet-care experience preferred; training provided.
- Availability for scheduled weekends and holidays, with early morning or evening shifts based on business needs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and handle dogs throughout the shift and lift 50–75 pounds, with reasonable accommodations as appropriate.
Being on time is critical. Lateness is not tolerated—we care for live animals who depend on us for feeding, exercise, supervision, and daily care. You must be ready to work at your scheduled start time.
