Details Level III Neonatal ICU setting caring for premature, critically ill, and medically complex neonates Night shift schedule (18:30-07:00) 13-week assignment Manages high-acuity patients requiring advanced respiratory and hemodynamic support Utilizes ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, and high-flow oxygen equipment Manages central lines, PICC lines, and umbilical lines (UAC/UVC) Administers and titrates IV medications, continuous infusions, TPN, and blood products Requirements Active RN license (TN or Compact) currently in hand Current certifications: BLS (AHA) and NRP (AHA/AAP) Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required; 3-4 years of Level III NICU experience preferred Hands-on therapeutic cooling/hypothermia experience required Strong experience caring for high-acuity and critically ill neonates Ability to independently manage complex NICU patients with minimal supervision Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start required for consideration Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start required for consideration Additional Information Participate in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization efforts Perform comprehensive neonatal assessments and closely monitor changes in patient condition Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the multidisciplinary NICU team Provide education and emotional support to parents and families throughout the infant's hospitalization Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Previous travel nursing experience preferred Radius rule applies; local candidates accepted at a reduced rate depending on distance from facility US Social Security Number and US home address required for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-750299.
