Travel Respiratory Therapist

RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.

Required Skills / Certs / Exp:

• Minimum Years of Experience: Minimum experience required: 2 years.
• Traveler Experience: Unit accepts first-time traveler: YES.
• Work Setting Experience Required: ER, Adult ICU, Med/Surg and ICU/Stepdown.
• Respiratory Care Experience Required: Airway management, medication administration, vent management, ABGs, O2 therapy, suction, pulmonary toileting, nebulizer, BiPAP, CPAP, vest therapy, meta-neb, PAP therapy, heated high-flow.
• EPIC experience is required.
• Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NC License and RRT credentials preferred.

Preferred Skills / Certs / Exp:

• Skills: Bronchoscopes.
• Certs: NRP.

Unit will not accept CRT.

Job Details:

• Ratios: 35-45 ppd.
• Shift: 36 or 48 hours can be offered. Will accept 13 weeks. 12 hour nights.
• RTO: 7 days max for Aya auto offer.
• Call Requirement: On call required as needed/workload dependent.
• Float Requirement: No floating to other facilities, just within FMC.
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts within a 6-week timeframe.
• Patient Diagnoses: Large respiratory care department practicing at the top of their license. Travelers would work med/surg and ICU step-down units, possibly in the ED. Adolescents to geriatrics.
• Special Equipment: Servo I, Survo U, Hamilton T1, V60, night-time VPAP, we use Omni-labs and V30s. ABL90 ABG machine.
• Unit Systems: EPIC experience required.
• Scheduling Type: Per unit needs.
• Unit Orientation: 7a - 7p, then 7p-7a for night shift; 7p-7a RTs will need a few days of 7a-7p for orientation.
