Direct Support Professional – Overview We are looking for a Direct Support Professional to provide safe, supportive care to adults with developmental disabilities at the Pocono Center. The role includes assisting residents with hygiene, supporting daily routines, participating in community outings, attending training sessions, and completing special assignments as directed by the coordinator. Work with other dedicated professionals who share a passion for helping individuals in need. Some lifting or managing resistance up to 50 lbs or more. Repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision, occasional computer use, occasional driving of company vehicles. Must meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches. Work Environment Regularly works in adequately lighted and ventilated indoor areas with temperature fluctuations. Use of protective equipment (latex gloves, facial mask, protective eyewear, gown) required. Possible exposure to blood‑borne pathogens. Some degree of physical involvement in Safe and Positive Approaches.
