Data Platform Engineering Manager

Responsibilities Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for building and evolving a modern, cloud‑based data platform that supports enterprise analytics, reporting, and advanced data use cases. This role will oversee a growing team of engineers and partner closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and high‑quality data solutions in a cloud‑first environment. Drive the development and evolution of a modern cloud‑based data platform Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency Support the design and implementation of data architecture patterns (e.g., Lakehouse models) Requirements 10+ years of experience in software or data engineering 3+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams Experience with cloud‑based data platforms (Azure preferred) Strong background in data engineering, data integration, and analytics Experience with tools such as Databricks, Synapse (or similar), and SQL Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices Strong communication and stakeholder management skills What We're Looking For A leader who can balance technical depth and team leadership Experience owning and scaling data platforms, not just contributing to projects Ability to drive both strategy and execution Benefits We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees.
