Guest Services Representative - FT (8:00am-4:00pm) MMC

Full-Time Guest Services Representative

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Guest Services Representative. Required hours are: 8:00AM - 4:00PM including every other weekend. Starting rate: $18.50/hr.

Essential Function/Responsibilities:

• Greets and assists patients, families, and visitors upon arrival in a courteous, professional manner.
• Provides directions, hospital information, and support services as needed.
• Responds to inquiries regarding hospital services, amenities, visiting hours, and patient locations.
• Assists with patient admissions, discharges, and special requests (e.g., transportation, lodging, spiritual care, interpreter services).
• Maintains a thorough understanding of hospital policies, departments, and service lines to provide accurate information.
• Addresses patient and visitor concerns, escalating to the appropriate department when necessary.
• Assists with supporting volunteers assigned to the Emergency Department, Maternity, and other services locations as needed.
• Provides concierge services and other assistance as requested and works with Administration and Foundation to update and maintain prioritized patient list.
• Supports special projects or events as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality in all patient and family interactions, adhering to HIPAA standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Associates degree preferred. (Bachelor's degree may substitute for one year of work experience.)
• To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Candidate must possess strong communication, interpersonal and de-escalation skills.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and remain attentive to visitor needs. (Frequent walking, standing).
• Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs including but not limited to pushing wheelchairs.
• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities a must.
• Ability to remain calm and compassionate in stressful situations.

Relevant Experience:

• 2 years of experience in healthcare, customer service, or hospitality preferred.
• Retail experienced preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospital information systems preferred.
