General Laborer / Grounds Crew Member
American Grounds Service LLC — Dunnellon, FL (serving Marion & Citrus County)
Job Type: Full-time · Pay: $16/hour
About the Role American Grounds Service is a growing grounds and lawn maintenance company serving residential, commercial, and acreage/farm properties across the Dunnellon–Ocala area. We're looking for a dependable, hard-working general laborer to join our crew. This is hands-on outdoor work — if you take pride in a property that looks sharp when you leave it, you'll fit in here.
What You'll Do
Mow, edge, trim, and blow residential and commercial properties
Operate hand equipment (string trimmers, edgers, blowers) and ride/push mowers
Load, unload, and secure equipment on trailers daily
Haul and dispose of yard debris, brush, and trash
Help with seasonal work — mulching, brush clearing, lot cleanups, and pasture/field mowing
Keep equipment clean, fueled, and report any maintenance issues
Follow the crew leader's daily route and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
Able to work outdoors in Florida heat and varying weather year-round
Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stay on your feet all day
Reliable transportation and a strong commitment to showing up on time
A good attitude and willingness to learn — no experience required, we'll train the right person
Valid Florida driver's license a plus (required to drive company trucks)
Lawn care, landscaping, or equipment experience a plus but not required
