Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects with a focus on mechanical and HVAC systems. The role involves overseeing project planning, execution, budget and schedule management, quality control, and stakeholder communication to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery of commercial and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project planning and execution for construction projects involving mechanical and HVAC systems, from pre-construction through closeout.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans; monitor progress and implement corrective actions as needed to meet milestones.
• Coordinate and direct subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and onsite teams to ensure work meets specifications, codes, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, safety compliance, and installation of mechanical/HVAC equipment; identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Prepare, review, and manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, progress reports, and as-built records.
• Serve as primary client contact for project updates, scope changes, and problem resolution; maintain strong relationships with owners, design teams, and stakeholders.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Manage procurement of materials and equipment, coordinate deliveries, and verify installation and commissioning activities for mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Lead commissioning, testing, and startup activities for mechanical/HVAC systems to ensure performance and handover documentation.
• Mentor and supervise project engineers and site personnel, driving continuous improvement and adherence to best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience in construction with significant exposure to mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Proven track record managing commercial or industrial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, installation practices, and commissioning procedures.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and construction documentation software.
• Excellent budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, and change-order management skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities; capable of collaborating with owners, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations (OSHA or local equivalent), and commissioning standards.
• PMP or CCM certification preferred; LEED, NATE, or other HVAC/mechanical certifications a plus.
• Ability to travel to job sites and work flexible hours as project needs require.
