Job Description

The Warehouse Associate works across receiving, inventory, packing, and shipping functions to support accurate and efficient movement of equipment such as modems, routers, and cable boxes. This role uses pallet jacks, carts, and handheld RF scanners to handle products, maintain precise inventory records, and prepare items for outbound shipment while following clear work instructions, production targets, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Unload trailers safely and efficiently using pallet jacks or carts.
• Receive and sort incoming equipment such as modems, routers, and cable boxes according to established procedures.
• Scan barcodes using handheld RF scanners to record product information accurately.
• Log and verify product serial numbers to ensure accurate inventory tracking and control.
• Perform order picking, packing, and packaging tasks in line with shipping and receiving requirements.
• Pack tested products into boxes using appropriate materials and ensure packages are correctly labeled for outbound shipping.
• Support shipping and receiving processes, including preparing orders for dispatch and assisting with incoming shipments.
• Handle materials and move products within the warehouse while maintaining organization and inventory accuracy.
• Participate in cycle counts and other inventory control activities to maintain up-to-date warehouse inventory records.
• Follow written work instructions and meet daily production targets and performance expectations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and surrounding areas.
• Comply with all safety standards, security rules, and company policies, including adherence to metal detector and device policies.
• Work on your feet for the full shift, performing standing and moving tasks throughout the day.

Essential Skills

• Previous warehouse experience in shipping, receiving, picking, packing, or packaging.
• Proficiency using handheld RF scanners for barcode scanning and inventory transactions.
• Basic computer skills to support scanner use and inventory logging.
• Experience with pallet jacks and general material handling equipment.
• Experience in inventory, inventory control, warehouse inventory, and cycle counts.
• Ability to perform order picking and handle shipping and receiving tasks accurately.
• Capability to stand for the entire shift and perform repetitive warehouse tasks safely.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure correct serial number logging and accurate labeling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Comfort working with technology such as RF scanners and basic computer systems.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and meet production goals.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean, orderly work area and support efficient workflows.
• Reliability and consistency in adhering to safety, security, and company policies, including strict device and metal detection rules.
• Willingness to work in a structured, process-driven warehouse environment.

Work Environment

The facility is climate-controlled, very clean, and highly organized, providing a comfortable and efficient setting for warehouse operations. Team members stand and stay active throughout the shift, as there are no sit-down positions. Personal cell phones are not allowed on the floor, so employees must be comfortable being away from their phones for extended periods. The site follows a strict security policy, including a metal detector and a "no beep" approach, so employees must avoid wearing items that would trigger the detector. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlestown, IN.

The pay range for this position is $16.36 - $18.81/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Charlestown,IN.
