The team is small but diverse with unlimited opportunity to learn, advance, and take on responsibility.What You'll Be DoingReinsurance is a complex world, the easiest way to think about it is that it's insurance for the insurers. Working with our teams you'll help insurance companies protect their futures, and the people they insure.You'll work across analytics, brokers, and other functions to identify and respond to client needs and develop additional opportunities related to products and services. Once you've collected the data, manipulated it in spreadsheets and other database applications, you'll then prepare client-ready presentations to communicate analysis results to brokers and clients.In addition you'll also:Understand reinsurance contracts and products (terminology, terms and conditions)Manage workflow proactively and take initiative on internal projects to improve processes, products or servicesTake ownership and responsibility for quality, accuracy and timely completion of analysesWillingness to be part of Howden Re's "Team First" culture and to offer help to others without promptingWho We're Looking ForYou'll be actively pursuing a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a 3.0 or higher graduating GPA; an advanced degree would be nice, but not a requirement.You will:Be actively pursuing a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a GPA of 3.0 or higherBe proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPointPay close attention to detail, because every small detail mattersLegally authorized to work in the USNice to have (but not expected)Advanced degreeExperience in the (re)insurance industryCompletion of Actuarial exam(s) or be actively studying for an examOur Application ProcessOur application process is designed to help you show your potential, not to test what you already know!Online application form: To make sure you're eligible for the internship, and to upload a resume.Pre-recorded video interview: You'll record your answers to a few questions using your phone or laptop, giving you the chance to tell us more about yourself in your own time in a relaxed setting.Assessment center: Our final stage is an assessment center, which will ideally be in-person, but may be virtual.
