Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care in a fast-paced environment. This position includes the potential to float to various units as needed, including J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department (ED), to care for a similar patient population.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in accordance with established healthcare standards.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as required.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Attend to the needs of patients and their families, providing education and support.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Participate in continuous education and training programs.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months of permanent experience in the Medical/Surgical specialty.
• One year of recent oncology and chemotherapy administration experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
• Current and valid registered nursing license for Ohio or a compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications are required.
• Willingness to work at least every other holiday is necessary.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation is required.

Schedule

This position involves rotating shifts, including nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM and days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Shifts may be variable, as needed to meet hospital operational requirements.
