Quality Control TechnicianPlease Note this is a TEMP TO HIRE position. 90 Days working as a TEMP employee in Quality Control DepartmentJob Type: Full-TimeLocation: Pleasant Prairie, WIShift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30p.m.Job Summary:The quality control technician position provides direct quality support to manufacturing and supply chain operations including document review, inspection and testing activities. This role is responsible for producing necessary documentation to ensure compliance with all quality control department requirements.Accountability and Duties:Performs assigned, routine visual inspections and other specified tests on raw materials, goods in process, and finished products using approved methods and procedures.Tests, inspects, and approves raw materials based on established quality specifications.Uses observation and testing to identify faults in materials and manufacturing process.Uses statistical methods to test product samples to evaluate quality of full product batch prior to delivery to clients or customers.Compares results of inspections and tests to company's quality standards; reports results to supervisor for final analysis and action steps.Develops, maintains, and posts logs, charts, and forms detailing quality levels, inspection data, and results of special quality studies for review by supervisors and other production staff.Consults with supervisor to determine appropriate recommendations and remedies for questionable products.Maintains quality records and data and enters into spreadsheets and databases.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Thorough attention to detail.Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, pin gages, and other common measurement tools.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports.Required Education and Experience:High school diploma or GEDSome technical school education preferred; mathematics emphasis preferred but not required.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
