Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in San Antonio, Texas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights, rotating Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Telemetry Location San Antonio, TX Unit Information Unit: Neuro Tele (623) Classification: RN - Telemetry Shift Details Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Weekend: Rotating weekends with a commitment to two weekend days, flexible to meet unit needs. Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per week Floating Policy All travelers are required to float as needed. Please inquire during the interview about the specific floating policy. Qualifications Special Skills/Experience Required: 2 years of nursing experience is required. Telemetry experience is essential. NIHSS certification is required. BLS and ACLS certifications are necessary. Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills: Experience with neuro-stroke, seizure, and other neurological disorders. Knowledge of cardiac care. Experience with neuro-surgical procedures. Experience with Meditech documentation system is preferred. Licensure Requirements Active Texas Registered Nurse License is required. Temporary licenses will not be accepted. Responsibilities The RN in this unit will be responsible for: Performing peripheral IV insertions. Inserting Foley catheters and nasogastric tubes (NGT). Documenting patient care and progress using the Meditech system. Dress Code Scrub Color: Navy scrub top and pants, with an option for a navy or white scrub jacket. Nail Policy: Must be clean and healthy. Hair: Must be neat and clean; extreme styles or colors are not permitted. Facial Hair: Must be clean and neatly trimmed. Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible; coverage will be addressed for those not feasible to cover daily. Piercings: Visible piercings other than earrings are prohibited.
