Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
Responsible for providing specialized nursing care to neuro telemetry patients, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and protocols. Demonstrates expertise in neuro-related assessments and interventions while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Administer direct patient care, including neurological assessments, vital sign monitoring, and medication administration.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient progress accurately in Meditech, adhering to unit guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, alarms, and emergencies, following established protocols.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment, including proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Adhere to hospital policies on dress code, hygiene, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Texas RN license; temporary licenses will not be accepted.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent hospital or neuro telemetry nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech documentation system.
• Meet minimum certification requirements, including BLS and ACLS.
• Have experience managing neurological and cardiac disorders, including stroke, seizures, and neurosurgical cases.
• Show strong communication skills and ability to work flexible shifts, including rotating weekends.
