Senior Software Engineer
DP Professionals
I'm looking for a Software Engineer 3 to work on satellite ground systems and mission planning software in Redondo Beach.
This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys working on distributed systems, cloud architecture, C++/Python, and modern DevSecOps rather than just maintaining existing code.
What you'll be working on:
- Ground software for satellite systems
- Architecture for a containerized, cloud-deployed mission planning system
- Distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and event-driven architecture
- C++, Python, and potentially Java
- CI/CD, automated testing, and DevSecOps
- Linux development with Git
- Technical design, code reviews, and architecture decisions
- Working directly with systems engineers, developers, and product owners
What I'm looking for:
- 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience depending on education
- Strong C++ and Python skills
- Advanced object-oriented programming experience
- Ability to obtain SCI clearanceKafka, microservices, cloud applications, CI/CD, Docker/containerization, infrastructure as code, Agile/Scrum, RHEL, Java, and DevSecOps.
