Finance Manager

The SM-3 Finance Team within the Naval Power Finance organization is looking for a motivated finance professional to guide the Financial Planning and Analysis of the SM-3 program. This individual will lead a team of one to two analysts working closely with the SM-3 Business Managers, Shipboard FP&A, and ultimately NP FP&A. This finance manager position is an integral part of the SM-3 team supporting the SM-3 LT to optimize forecasting and decision making across the organization.

What You Will Do

1. Lead the Long-Range Plan process (Including AOP). Key aspects will include calendar development, bottoms up inputs and reviews with the SSBUs, cross functional alignment with the SM-3 LT, market, growth analysis, with an emphasis on risk and opportunity identification.
2. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment working with a small agile team to meet key review touchpoints throughout the process. The candidate will be able to quickly address ad hoc requests, anticipate and proactively address inconsistencies & data anomalies while working effectively with the Leadership Team.
3. The candidate will have significant experience working in AO and excel to perform ad hoc analysis, troubleshoot reporting, provide variance analysis, and template development for the summation of data and inputs.
4. You will actively contribute to the development and mentorship of team members and support broader organizational development efforts. The selected candidate will regularly interact with the SSBU CFOs and FP&A leads, and Functional Leadership team (Strategy and Technical Director).
5. Analysis provided by the candidate and his/her team will drive decisions that improve the SM-3 organization and will be key to achieving our financial goals.
6. Analyze, prepare, and make recommendations for the SM-3 pre-close and close forecast including presentation to the SBM SSBU leadership.
7. Lead the update and management of the RPLAN records for SM-3.
8. Coordinate and analyze the balance sheet to include Unbilled, Billed CIP, & Inventory.
9. Support CORE initiatives and special projects focused on process improvement.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor's and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience
• Experience with Excel, Microsoft Word, and/or Power Point.
• Experience with RPLAN and/or other SAP Business Systems / BW Toolset or similar business systems.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
