Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This position focuses on providing exceptional care for patients undergoing open-heart recovery, with expertise in advanced cardiac support devices, including Impella and balloon pumps.

Shift Information

• Schedule: 7 PM - 7:30 AM
• 36 hours scheduled, 24 hours guaranteed
• Must be willing to float to similar units or within the region
• Weekend and holiday requirements will be determined by the unit

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a dynamic and critical environment.
• Manage and monitor patients post-operatively, especially those recovering from open-heart surgery.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to formulate and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding health management and recovery processes.
• Ensure all nursing practices adhere to regulatory and institutional guidelines.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 24 months of recent CVICU experience required.
• Expertise in direct open-heart recovery and use of cardiac support devices is preferred.
• Active state license to practice as a Registered Nurse is required.
• Current Life Support certifications (BLS and ACLS) from an approved provider.
• No restrictions or hits on state license required.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.
