What You’ll Do

As an Accounting Clerk, you’ll play a key role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly while providing a high level of service to both our internal and external customers:

• Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers through phone, email, and other forms of communication
• Process Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable invoicing
• Process customer payments (checks, credit cards, ACH/EFT)
• Post and manage freight bills (FedEx, UPS, R&L Carriers)
• Assist with A/P processing (including drop shipments)
• Handle incoming mail and administrative tasks
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer account inquiries and invoice requests
• Work effectively and collaboratively with staff across all departments to resolve questions, address issues, and support company needs
• Build positive working relationships with coworkers, customers, vendors, and other business contacts
• Assist with minor collections, including written and verbal communication with customers
• Take on additional projects and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Strong customer-service mindset with excellent professional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of people, including internal and external customers, in a professional and team-oriented manner
• Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and strong data-entry skills
• Experience with ERP systems; MS Dynamics experience is a plus
• Professional, positive, and solutions-oriented attitude
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Previous accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general office experience preferred

What You Bring (Qualifications)

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
• Accounting Experience is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of office or clerical experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in an office/cubicle environment
• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time
• Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other standard office equipment
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and electronically
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the office
• Ability to lift and carry office materials, files, or packages weighing up to 20 pounds
• Ability to perform work requiring visual attention to detail, including reviewing documents, invoices, spreadsheets, and other financial information
• Ability to maintain productivity and accuracy while performing repetitive computer and data-entry tasks
