Job Title: Physical Therapist Inpatient Rehabilitation Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Physical Therapy Inpatient Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (09:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute inpatient experience License: New Mexico Physical Therapy License (pending accepted) Certifications: BLS Must-Have: COVID vaccination required (religious and medical exemptions accepted) Experience with adults, adolescents, and geriatrics Ability to manage a patient load of 8 cases per day Availability for 2 weekend shifts per month Description: The position requires a Physical Therapist to work in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. Patients will include adults, adolescents, and geriatric populations. The focus will be on providing rehabilitation for total joint replacements with same-day discharge. Common diagnoses include falls, cerebrovascular accidents, trauma, pneumonia, and post-operative care. Candidates must have experience in acute care and rehabilitation settings. The therapist will perform evaluations and provide treatment to patients during their hospital stay. Documentation and charting will be completed using Cerner. The role requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Skills required include knowledge in body mechanics, post-operative rehabilitation, cognitive disorders, and patient education. Travel experience is preferred but first-timers with the required experience are accepted. This is a full-time position, and flexibility for scheduling is necessary. No on-call or float requirements.
