We are establishing our CA office as a premier regional hub and are seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our US operations. You will be the driving force behind our strategic vision, accelerating our user growth, deepening our cultural footprint, and expanding our commercial revenue across the country.

The Role

As the CEO of Baseline United States, you hold the ultimate accountability for our overarching business strategy and commercial success within the market. Operating out of our New York headquarters, you will lead a diverse, cross-functional organization comprising Content, Marketing, Ad Sales, Communications, and Operations.

You will act as the primary face of Baseline in the United States, building executive-level relationships with the music industry, podcast creators, major corporate brands, and government entities. This role requires a macro-level thinker capable of navigating complex cultural and competitive landscapes while ensuring tight alignment with Baseline's global mission.

What You'll Do

Strategic Leadership & P&L Management

• Define, localize, and execute Baseline's long-term strategic vision for the US market.
• Hold full accountability for the country's P&L, managing budgets, forecasting revenue, and ensuring sustainable financial performance and profitability.
• Drive aggressive user acquisition strategies to maximize both Monthly Active Users (MAU) on the free tier and Premium Subscriber conversions.

Content & Creator Ecosystem

• Champion the local audio and creator ecosystem. Oversee the Content team to acquire, curate, and promote hyper-local music and podcast content that deeply resonates with American audiences.
• Foster strong, mutually beneficial partnerships with major and independent record labels, artists, podcast networks, and rights holders.
• Spearhead the launch of Baseline Original & Exclusive content tailored specifically for the US market.

Commercial & Brand Presence

• Partner with the Ad Sales leadership to aggressively scale B2B revenue streams, establishing Baseline as a premium, must-buy advertising platform for top-tier US brands and media agencies.
• Guide the Marketing and PR teams to develop high-impact, culturally relevant brand campaigns that solidify Baseline's market leadership.
• Act as the chief spokesperson and ambassador for Baseline in the United States, representing the company at industry events, in the media, and with regulatory bodies.

Team Leadership & Culture

• Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing, cross-functional executive leadership team based in the New York office.
• Cultivate a dynamic workplace culture that reflects Baseline's core values: innovative, collaborative, sincere, passionate, and playful.
• Ensure seamless communication and strategic alignment between the New York hub and global headquarters.

Who You Are

• Experienced Executive: You bring 15+ years of senior executive leadership experience, with proven P&L responsibility, within the technology, media, entertainment, or digital streaming sectors.
• Market Authority: You possess a deep, nuanced understanding of the US consumer market, the local music and entertainment industry, and the digital advertising landscape.
• Relationship Builder: You have an established, elite network of contacts across the US music industry, media agencies, corporate brands, and government sectors.
• Commercial Powerhouse: You are highly analytical and data-driven, with a track record of scaling both consumer subscription models and B2B advertising revenue.
• Exceptional Communicator: You possess outstanding communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills. Native or near-native fluency in English is strictly required.
• Agile Leader: You thrive in a hyper-growth, fast-paced, and constantly evolving environment, remaining adaptable while keeping your focus on long-term strategic goals.
