Area Sales Director - Robotic Surgical Technologies (North East)

Medtronic seeks an Area Sales Director to lead regional commercial strategy for the Hugo™ Robotic-Assisted Surgery System in the North East. This field-based role manages a sales team, drives capital equipment adoption across health systems and hospitals, and requires 50-75% travel within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional commercial strategy and execution to achieve capital equipment, service, and utilization revenue targets
• Direct and develop a team of Capital Sales Specialists through complex healthcare capital sales opportunities
• Build executive-level relationships with hospital administrators, health system leaders, surgeons, and value analysis stakeholders
• Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Clinical, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, and Market Access teams to advance strategic opportunities
• Negotiate and execute complex agreements with health systems, integrated delivery networks, and academic medical centers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years healthcare capital sales and 7+ years people leadership; or Advanced degree with 8+ years capital sales and 5+ years people leadership
• Experience leading complex healthcare capital equipment sales cycles and executive-level customer engagement
• Demonstrated ability to manage regional sales performance, forecasting, and pipeline execution
• Capacity to travel 50-75% within assigned region and reside within territory
• Experience in robotic-assisted surgery, minimally invasive surgery, or surgical technologies preferred
• Proficiency in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and commercial performance metrics
• Ability to develop customer business cases and total cost of ownership analyses
