Corporate Position - Sr. Specialist, Health & Safety Programs Relocation Assistance is available for non-local candidates (Phoenix, AZ) A leading utility company is looking to hire a Senior H&S Specialist, based in Phoenix, AZ. This role sits within the corporate team and would be responsible for providing safety support to company operations and advancing H&S objectives across the organization. The Role: Lead and maintain the organization’s contractor safety program, including qualification, onboarding, training, and ongoing performance oversight. Establish and enforce contractor safety expectations by partnering with procurement, operations, and project teams across the full contract lifecycle. Conduct audits, field reviews, and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and project-specific controls. Develop, implement, and continuously improve health and safety programs, management systems, and supporting documentation. Provide technical guidance on risk assessment, hazard identification, regulatory interpretation, and incident investigation, ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented The Candidate Circa. 5+ years of experience working in a H&S role, ideally within the utilities, construction or engineering industries Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but may be offset by equivalent professional experience in the H&S field Demonstrated expertise in contractor safety management, regulatory compliance, and applying OSHA and DOT requirements in a corporate setting Able to travel to active construction projects and existing assets as needed Local to the Phoenix area and happy to travel to corporate office when required (Hybrid-work schedule) #J-18808-Ljbffr Shirley Parsons
