Interim Financial Controller

We are currently partnering with a rapidly growing organization seeking Private Equity (PE)-experienced Interim CFOs and Controllers for fully remote consulting engagements . These roles support PE-backed companies with $50M–$1B+ in revenue and require professionals who can step in quickly and make an immediate impact. Key Responsibilities Lead financial operations, reporting, and strategic initiatives Partner with executive leadership on business performance and decision-making Drive forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis Oversee audit processes, compliance, and internal controls Evaluate and improve financial processes and systems Qualifications 8–10+ years of experience within PE-backed or similar high-growth environments Proven experience as a CFO and/or Controller Strong communication, project management, and follow-through skills CPA required Background in Big 4 or reputable regional firm preferred Advanced Excel skills Audit experience is a plus Hands‑on, adaptable approach Ascendo is a certified minority‑owned staffing firm, and we welcome and celebrate diversity.
