Venture Together, Inc. is a private non-profit organization that provides support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We offer residential, day, community habilitation, respite and employment services, an equestrian program as well as an integrated summer camp. CONTROLLER JOB SUMMARY The Controller is responsible for ensuring legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions in a professional and confidential manner. The Controller oversees the Finance Department and associated functions including but not limited to cost and general accounting, accounts receivable/collection, payroll and risk management. The controller is responsible for working with the agency’s Auditors in providing all required information for the year-end Audited Financial Statement and the completion of the annual Consolidated Fiscal Report. This position is a professional accounting position with responsibilities that are complex, confidential and essential to the financial integrity of the Agency. The Controller reports to the Chief Financial Officer. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or master’s degree preferred 10-15 years accounting non-profit business experience Proficient in all aspects of corporate accounting, financial reporting and knowledgeable in GAAP, NY State and regulatory Agencies standards Knowledge and proficiency of financial systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent analytical and organizational skills Supervisory experience Position #: 914-07 Administration Location: Nanuet, NY Monday – Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Full-Time / 40 hours per week Annual Salary Range: $145,000 – $152,000 #J-18808-Ljbffr
