Welder- Night Shift

Welding PositionAccurately welds quality products according to engineer's print's directions and shop order's requests. Follows policies and procedures put in place as well as always being aware to preserving the product's integrity and quality.Primary Duties:Able to set a welder according to job requirementsAble to read weld symbolsTo follow safety proceduresTo keep an accurate count on productAble to read prints and weld according to print directionsAble to weld in multiple positionsAble to read and use measuring tools accuratelyAble to use a hoist or crane and know the correct procedures to operate itTo complete jobs on a timely and consistent basisPosition descriptions are intended to define in general terms the most significant duties of a particular position and are not all inclusive of all duties or responsibilities of individual positions. Position descriptions are not intended to exclude the possibility of temporary assignments or the alteration of existing positions.Qualifications / Experience:Must have some experience in welding and be able to make a quality weldMust be safety mindedRequires attention to detail and a high standard of qualityMust comply to ISO 9000 required policiesMust be a team player who can work effectively in a team environmentGood interpersonal, verbal communication and active listening skillsAble to lift 50 pounds occasionally and push/pull 100 pounds occasionallyPhysical Requirements:Standing on concrete – 100% of the timeLifting items less than 35lbs. from the ground – Highly repetitiveLifting items 35lbs – 50lbs. - OccasionalTwisting or turning - Highly repetitiveBending or squatting - Highly repetitivePinch grip- Highly repetitiveHands above shoulders - RareThis is a table welding position. Areas can be exposed to high heat and ultra violet light. Wrist and hand usage is above normal. Overhead cranes are accessible for much of the area above 50lbs. There is heavy use of vibrating tools such as a grinder.
