Director of Sales, National Accounts
About the job
A family-owned premium seafood producer is hiring a Director of Sales, National Accounts to own its largest grocery and club retail relationships. The company is a category leader coming off the best year in its history, and it's moving into a more structured growth phase. You'll report directly to the President and manage the national book end to end: formal bids, vendor setup and compliance, and negotiated seasonal and volume programs. You'll also work with leadership on pricing and forecast demand ahead of key selling seasons. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor seat, not a team-lead role. The Director title is client-facing, and you'll have a direct line to ownership.
Term: Full Time, Direct Hire
Location: North Seattle, WA, USA (Fully On-site)
Compensation: $125,000/year base + commission ($200,000+ OTE)
Desired Qualifications:
- 3+ years selling food products into national or regional grocery, club, or mass retail chains from the supplier side
- Has personally owned major retail accounts as the lead, not just supported them through a team
- Hands-on experience with retail bids, vendor portals, item setup, and compliance and certification requirements
- Comfortable working within company-set pricing and partnering with leadership on program deals
- Plans ahead: forecasts seasonal pull-through instead of reporting what already closed
- Frozen, protein, perishable, or seafood category experience is a strong plus
- CRM discipline; HubSpot is a plus
- Genuinely wants to work on-site 5 days a week with a close-knit sales team
