Workers Compensation/Personal Injury Attorney

Portner & Shure is one of the leading Personal Injury law firms in Virginia. We are seeking a workers' compensation/personal injury attorney for our Virginia practice. Criminal defense experience a plus. Must be able to work on multiple cases at different stages of the process.

Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Represent clients in the Workers' Compensation Commission
\n
• Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
\n

\n

\n

\n

Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Minimum 1 year experience in workers compensation
\n
• Minimum 1 year experience in criminal defense
\n
• Advise clients about their legal rights and options
\n
• Conduct legal research and devise an effective strategy to defend the client(s) in court
\n
• Gather evidence in support of the case
\n
• Present evidence in court
\n
• Negotiate settlement agreements
\n
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
\n
• Ability to build rapport with clients
\n
• Must be licensed in Virginia
\n
• Speak Spanish a plus but not required
\n

Qualifications and Skills

• Must be proficient with handling a high volumes of cases
\n
• Must be an active member and in good standing with the Virginia bar
\n
• Must have a proven ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
\n
• Must have excellent attention to detail, stellar organization skills and the ability to not only communicate well but to fully grasp real-life implications that these cases have on our clients
