: About The Role Summary The Mortgage Servicing Specialist will perform routine administrative and clerical duties requiring application of various work methods, procedures, and familiarity with departmental functions, policies, and practices. As the Glacier Family of Banks, Mortgage Loan Servicing Center serves our 17 division FDIC banks across 8 states and their customers. Therefore, the Mortgage Servicing Specialist must provide excellent customer service, be eager to learn/grow and be a self-starter able to follow regulation and procedures. This is a Corporate position that is located in Coeur d' Alene, ID. The entry-rate for this position is $16.28 + /hour (calculated for Coeur d' Alene, ID). All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background. Courtesy and tact are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with customers and others inside and outside the organization, generally regarding fairly routine matters for the purposes of giving and obtaining information or instructions, updating or referring. • Makes postings within loan servicing system to various departmental records including, but not limited to, loan payments, general ledgers, and deposit accounts.
• Scanning, indexing, and filing loan records and loan documents.
• Completing miscellaneous loan file maintenance, processing and set up of AFTs/ ACHS, processing payoffs, investor participations, and escrow account maintenance.
• Assist in paying of insurance, tax, and/or PMI premiums from escrow when due through the banking software and vendors. Make updates to the loan servicing system and initiate the mailing payments to respective payees.
• Cross train on miscellaneous Mortgage Loan Servicing Center tasks to cover for other team members during high volumes times or vacations. These tasks include but are not limited to escrow administration (escrow analysis, manual distributions, insurance tracking, and tax monitoring), customer service calls, and other special projects.
• Performs reviews/check backs on payoff quotes, and other miscellaneous servicing tasks.
• Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.
