Part-Time Biller (ABA Billing) In-Office | Scottsdale, AZ

Creative Therapy Solution provides ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) services to families across Arizona. Our billing team keeps the financial side of care running smoothly so our clinical staff can focus on what matters most — supporting our clients. We're looking for a detail-oriented Biller to join our Finance team.

The Role

We're hiring a Part-Time Biller to manage billing processes related to our ABA services — claims submission, payment posting, insurance follow-ups, credentialing, benefit checks, and accurate record-keeping. You'll help ensure timely, accurate billing that keeps Creative Therapy Solution financially healthy and helps families access the care they need. This role starts part-time and in-office, with a clear path to grow. Billers who consistently hit our performance benchmarks will be considered for advancement to full-time hours and a hybrid (in-office/remote) schedule.

What You'll Do

• Insurance Verification & Benefit Checks: Conduct benefit checks for new clients, verify ABA coverage and exclusions, confirm AHCCCS eligibility through Availity, and document everything in Central Reach.
• Authorizations: Submit and track authorization requests, monitor expiration dates, and coordinate with clinical staff to keep services aligned with authorized units.
• Claims & Billing: Submit claims through Waystar, bill accurately for ABA CPT codes (97151, 97153, 97155, etc.), and resolve claim rejections before they become a problem.
• Accounts Receivable: Follow up on unpaid claims, investigate and resolve denials, submit appeals, and manage patient invoicing and collections.
• Compliance: Ensure AHCCCS billing compliance and manage coordination of benefits for clients with multiple insurance plans.

What You'll Need

• Minimum 2 years of ABA billing experience
• Proficiency with Central Reach
• Experience using Waystar for claims submission
• Experience using Availity for benefit checks and authorizations
• Knowledge of AHCCCS / Arizona Medicaid billing
• Familiarity with ABA CPT codes
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Reliable internet access
• Must pass a background check

Nice to have:

• Experience billing multiple Arizona payers (Mercy Care, BCBS, Aetna, United, etc.)
• Experience in an ABA or behavioral health practice
• Strong denial management and appeals experience

Schedule & Pay

• Part-time: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–2:00 PM (20 hours/week)
• In-office at our Scottsdale, AZ location
• $28/hour
• Growth path: eligibility for full-time hours and a hybrid schedule based on performance
